The syllabus gives comprehensive coverage of this very important subject. Students will move towards the learning goals via a balance of theoretical and practical content. IGCSE Chemistry goes beyond subject boundaries and introduces students to ethical and moral issues regarding the process of scientific research and the correct application of results there so achieved.

Practical skills will form the foundation for the subject development and students will be required to respect the empirical origins of the subject and also moral and ethical constraints on the application of research findings and developments of such.

Outside of its specificity in respect of detailed subject matter , students will benefit from the general transferable skills that the study so imports.
