Computers are at the heart of the modern world and as such students study will in the IGCSE, look at the different manifestations of computers in the world in which they.

They will develop an understanding of the range and power of computer applications, together with applying the power of the computer to solve problems.

Systems analysis, Algorithm design and programming are amongst the topics that students will study in IGCSE Computer Studies.

Because of the enormous expansion and widespread availability of computers, students study a broad range of computer applications , so that they are better placed to comprehend the versatility of the computer and the benefits of its use in society, together with its disadvantages and shortcomings.

As a stand alone subject IGCSE provides an excellent preparation for the world of work , and it can be built on with further studies to A-level studies in the field or related subjects.
