International Focus Whilst importing beneficial elements of national qualifications and enriching these with additional challenging content the CEB seeks to stimulate higher achievement levels with a central focus on both pure and applied Sciences. This is enabled in part by the boards novel assessment technology , which promotes best practice via the application of systems increasing impartiality , together with considerable reductions in lead times associated with setting and marking assessments. The swift introduction of new syllabi is also facilitated by these systems thus maximising the relevance of assessments to the needs of the rapidly changing world. The CEB has championed this approach because of the need to rekindle interest in the pure and applied sciences by the provision of imaginative and accessible provision. Candidates are not barred on the basis of course work or sponsorship and are able to follow their interest unimpeded by what has been a common element of past practice, thus enabling them to realize their ambitions and become productive members of the global community. Fast track / Diagnostics One of the central goals of the CEB is to break with tradition by the provision, in addition to the classic twice yearly examination diets; of fast track standardised assessments which whilst retaining their academic currency , encourage and guide progress in the participants , stimulating interest and achievement, with the provision of feedback enabling timely rectification. In this sense progress with Artificial Intelligence has and is changing the world of learner diagnostics, wherein misconceptions can be identified at an early stage in a smooth and progressive fashion as opposed to traumatic destructive testing, which leaves learners in a difficult to rectify state;consequently being potentially lost from the world of Òadded valueÓ mind ware in the subject/subjects in question.
