In studying IGCSE ICT , students will be equipped with both the knowledge and skills to be able to both function at a higher level in the subject as in A-level ICT and be able to increase their own personal productivity both within their academic studies and in their general navigation of the world of work. Students develop the ability to use applications developed in the software field, so that their own productivity in dealing with data ,communicating through the medium of e-mail and the web are streamlined to bring them into line with the world of work and further studies. Students look at new technologies and the way these are changing working patterns in society and the world in general. Students examine the implications of low cost communication systems and the growing access to high speed internet access for the global community, and how this is shaping the knowledge economies of the world.
